报告人简介：

James J. Elser，美国亚利桑那州立大学生命科学学院教授，挪威科学院外籍院士，是国际知名的生态学和生物学专家。主要研究领域为生态化学计量学，生物地球化学，生物进化学，生态系统生态学。先后在SCI国际权威刊物《Nature》发表论文3篇，《Science》发表论文4篇，《Ecology Letters》发表论文16篇及其它高影响因子期刊发表论文200余篇，文章被引用次数达11926次。特别是由他和Sterner合著《Ecological Stoichiometry: The Biology of Elements from Molecules to the Biosphere》的引用次数达1558次（ISI），之后被公认为“国际生态化学计量学”的奠基人之一。James J.Elser教授曾先后担任以下杂志的副主编：Ecology Letters；Limnology and Oceanography special issue on Biocomplexity；Ecological Applications；American Naturalist；Oecologia。

Arianne Cease，美国亚利桑那州立大学可持续学院副教授，主要研究方向为草地可持续管理与利用，植物与动物的营养互作。多年来在我国北方草地及澳大利亚和非洲地区研究“植物-蝗虫”的生态化学计量学互作机制，发表论文10余篇，其中在国际权威杂志《Science》上发表了题为“Heavy livestock grazing promotes locust outbreaks by lowering plant nitrogen content”的文章，为认识蝗灾发生的生态机理及开展高效蝗灾防控提供了重要信息。
